Noah is one year old today! As many of you know, my sister, Breanne, and I got pregnant and were due 3 weeks apart.
It was so fun and exciting to go through our first pregnancies together!
Exactly one year ago, I got to finally meet Noah face to face.
What a joy it has been to see Noah grow this past year. It has been incredible to see the bond form between Noah and Mason. It is by no coincidence that they were born 3 weeks apart. Mason watches Noah like a hawk and observes his every move. It is SO helpful for Mason’s development to see Noah sit, crawl, walk, and talk! It pushes and encourages Mason to do the same. I’m so thankful that God brought these two boys into our family. I’m also so thankful that God brought Breanne and her family back to Indy so we can see each other so often.
Last week our PT suggested having Mason sit in a laundry basket to practice sitting independently. At first, Mason wouldn’t let go of the sides of the basket.
But after sitting for a while, he gained some confidence and took his hands off.
For these past two weeks, we’ve really been pushing sitting in the laundry basket.
Noah even joined Mason for some laundry basket fun!
Recently, we’ve moved out of the laundry basket and have been practicing sitting independently. He can now sit for half a minute or so all on his own!
This is HUGE! It has opened up a whole new world for us. He even had his first high chair experience now that he can hold himself up!
He will be sitting independently for indefinite periods of time in no time! With the help from Noah, he will be crawling and walking before we know it. I couldn’t have asked for a better best friend for Mason. Noah, I love you so much and cannot wait to see you and Mason continue to grow up together. Happy Birthday!
